SAT Prep Club – серия ознакомительных интенсивов по SAT для тех, кто рассматривает возможность поступления в вузы США. Вас ждет 4 онлайн-встречи, в течение которых вы узнаете:

• все о структуре SAT
• как проходит экзамен
• что нужно взять с собой в день экзамена (а что не стоит)  
• какие стратегии подготовки наиболее эффективны
• как проанализировать типы заданий в каждой части для выполнения

Очередной цикл SAT Prep Club будет проводить Нэлли Хачатурян, волонтёр информационного центра EducationUSA Russia. Нэлли сама разработала свой курс, и уже несколько лет успешно проводит свои занятия.

Каждая онлайн-встреча будет посвящена одной из частей экзамена. Рекомендуем посетить все 4 эфира, чтобы действительно получить практический навык и пользу.

• Тема первого занятия: at the first webinar we will look at the new SAT Digital exam in detail – its structure, question types, and scoring. We will cover all the peculiarities of the new format and learn about general test-taking strategies and time-management on the exam. In addition, we’ll talk about registering for the exam and doing practice tests in the official SAT application. Most importantly, we will discuss the adaptive algorithm of the test and understand what it means for test takers. Finally, we will look at the test prep resources available for international students at the moment.
• Тема второго занятия: at the second meeting, we will analyze the Reading questions. We will look at all ten new question types and learn the strategies and useful tips that you will need for each type.
• Тема третьего занятия: during our third webinar we will talk about the Grammar part of the test. SAT checks your knowledge of Standard English conventions, so we will cover all the theories that you need to know – sentence structure, modifiers, verb forms, and punctuation.
• Тема четвертого занятия: mathematics. We are going to look at the Math section of the test and the material that can be organized into four parts: Algebra, Problem Solving and Data Analysis, Advanced Math, and Geometry and Trigonometry. We will learn useful strategies to tackle tricky word problems and learn how to properly manage our time.
